Who is the Moose and why is the Moose in Peru?!

My husband, Geoff, has called me "Moose" or referred to me as "the Moose" for as long as I can remember. We have no idea where the nickname came from or why he chose it, but it has certainly stuck!

Why is the moose in Peru? It's called the Perros Project and it's the brainchild of Courtney and Matt. They traveled to South America last summer and were overcome by the needs of the dogs in the small town of Huanchaco, Peru. Determined to return to change the lives of those dogs, they founded a non-profit and have been working tirelessly to get back, a group of volunteers in tow.

This blog is for you: the ones who have donated to my efforts and supported me emotionally. I could not be going down there without you. Thank you. I just set this blog up and probably won't be back on it for a while as I don't leave for a month - but wanted to test it out. My plan is to update it at least once a day while I'm in Peru, though!
